Playing at Callahan’s
Our club is a business and run as such. We pursue/book the vast majority of entertainment at our venue. Were fans of many of the entertainers we book. Others are acts we catch around town or are referred to us by someone we know (reputation is very important to us.) Originality is also something very important to us. To continue to succeed we believe Callahan’s and the entertainment we present must be special, unique, and of the highest caliber.
As a club we focus on Blues, Roots, Americana, Rock ‘N Roll, and Comedy. Within these areas we pursue national, regional, and top local acts.
When considering a new band/entertainer we consider the following:
• Type of Entertainment
• Past and Current Area Bookings
• Reputation
• We solicit feedback from our peers and other musicians
• Professionalism
• Credits, Websites, Fan sites, Music, etc …
Model for success …
• We provide a great club, atmosphere, stage, PA, sound, and service for patrons
• Your provide high-energy, professional, entertainment
• Together we market, promote, drive people to date, and mutual success!
To Be Considered
The tremendous amount of talent in the metro-area and state means we get dozens of submissions weekly. Due to this fact and the number of limited dates we ask that all interested bands fill out and submit the form below. Upon submission you will receive a confirmation email letting you know we received the email.
PLEASE DON’T:
• Call the club and expect to speak to someone
• The club is booked by someone who does not reside at the club … he’s an email guy
• Cold calls on show nights trying to reach someone is a distraction from our business and an immediate turn off
• Drop by and try to ambush “someone”
• This usually happens on show nights and again is a distraction from our business … it’s a real turn off …
• Hyping the Bar Tender, wait staff, GM, Owner or whoever during our peak business hours doesn’t work and isn’t appreciated
•Drop off CD’s/Promotional Packets/etc … While we love CD’s the volume and business makes the relay of materials dicey at best … a simple email as outlined above is the best route … leverage technology and keep the extra $ for more gear!
